A Delivery to the Garden... 6 new large Crape Myrtles...

Sure! just send your address to nochance@pullingyourleg.com and then wait patiently by your mailbox:)

I also see that you asked about soil mix...quality potting soil. ..I really don't think I could keep these watered in a course mix.

Once fall/winter gets here, I will post some photos of the branch development...it is pretty unbelievable for one year!! I suspect there will be more CM in my future!

SO, your telling me there's a chance!?

I have my eye on a large CM like these that I may be able to collect - For super thirsty trees I use a pumice potting soil mix - works great

John between the work you have shared about working crape myrtles, and an old Chinese bonsai book, I have been looking forward to the day I found one. They aren't a common tree up north, but my patience has been rewarded! I found a nice small specimen, something to look forward to in spring. Thanks for continuing to share your amazing projects!

I started working on these tree in the spring of 2016. Here is my favorite of the bunch 4 1/2 years later... The large glazed round pot from Waldo Street Pottery compliments this tree well.

Stunning. Is this the one that has several YouTube videos? Great to see you post again on here John.

Welcome back!
It's nice to see this tree developing ramification so quickly. It looks amazing!
Is that the cultivar of CM that you always use, Tightwad? Sounds pretty funny.

I forget the actual cultivar of this one but it is one of the older full size crapes. Tightwad is a very compact dwarf.

Can’t believe it has been almost 5 years! I remember when you got these in!

Sure wished @johng posed here still...I tagged him. I doubt he gets notifications of emails...but...just in case. I kept thinking of those massive balled trees he had gotten...wished for an update.
Every once in a while he’ll post. But def not often. I wish he would also. His videos were among my favorite to watch in my early days in the hobby. Just love his temperament on his vids.
