Checked on the garage trees and noticed the Little Miss Kim LilacView attachment 586460 @Underdog most kindly gave me is budding out. It's early here, I'm sure winter isn't done with us yet. We have a week of 70's this week, so I'll have to be careful if we get really cold again. But I'm so happy it made it through the worst of winter here.
They are tuff as nails. No fear of cold. They smell amazing. I see the weather up there calling me home... but... I know winter isn't over. Hope my lil MoMo you gave me survived my absence.

That looks great, I really like the trunk lines you’re developing.

Picture… um, it’s raining, but I tweezered out about a pound of scotch moss from this JBP.

Repotted a pot full of cuttings. Two went into bonsai pots the rest went into plastic to give away at a club meeting.
First one is dwarf Korean lilac

My first 4 point tiedown on a teeny mame pot. Started with 2mm but went to the 1mm.

Well...this was packaged extremely well. A fluke that the pot broke. That said, I had wanted an angle change... I was thinking the tree wasn't as thick. My chosen pot was laughably ... to small. That I pondered not repotting and hunting for a pot.

But I had this Erin that worked for size.

Just finished repotting this hornbeam. I got it for a couple of bucks from a person that was getting rid of several struggling plants. I think it was field grown and dug out last year since it had barely any fine roots. I removed all the wires, steel wires that were really tough!
I was thinking to try a broom style.

Twisty fun with young maples, satsuki, hawthorn. I found various types of washer for singles and clumps to hopefully expand, ground layer and build that nebari. The white one is a pipe collar, pretty cool because they can open at the side to get your bundle in.
