What is the appropriate trunk size to match bonsai size?
While I know there are some sumo type bonsai that are big and short, I still would like to know a typical trunk size to match mature bonsai trees of each type. What are your thoughts?

Generally 1:6 to 1:12 with literati being an exception. Just go by feel. I find I like deciduous around 1:9 ish.
