Here are some pictures of before and what the tree looks like today. I've had it a few months now and have pretty much just left it outside as is. I'm not sure where to take this tree exactly. What should my concerns be for this tree right now? I know that I would like to get some back budding on some of those longer bare branches, but am not sure how exactly.

Also some ideas on which side would make a better front, and branch structure, would be great!

I love this tree but for some reason every time I look at it I think that some of the branches need to go. It seems a little crowded in the central area. I don't know. I also really like the nebari on this one :)
Also, I'm contemplating chopping off the 3rd half of the tree and reducing the branches, to give the tree a slightly better relation to the slim trunk. These are just thoughts right now, I won't be doing anything until the tree is in better health.

Just thought I'd mention that I regret jinning off that little branch towards the top left. A rookie error on my part, thinking it would look nice. I kick myself now when I see it.
