Wire-scarred hornbeam

Hi all. Life got in the way and I didn't check my hornbeam for biting wire. And bite it did!! Some scars are barely visible, some are pretty cut in (had to unwind the wire off a couple of branches).
Anyone know how long these are likely to take to heal on a hornbeam? It's pretty undeveloped so it's doing a lot of growing and thickening, will this speed the healing process?
 
Hard to tell without a picture. If it really scarred the bark, it might be better regrowing the branch
 
Thanks for the reply, pictures attached (these are the worst scars)
As you can see the trunk and branches are pretty skinny so I'll be thickening them up for a few years anyway.
