Win a Haiku contest, judged by my studly cousin Rob, win a pot!

Don't fight me on this topic 😈
While I will NOT fight you, and do NOT claim to be an expert....Everything I learned/read/attended lectures to was BEFORE the discovery/isolation of the Higgs equation/ particle... 🤪

So it all means nothing now!!! (Well. Not exactly, but you understand)

🤣🤣

Meh, the discovery of the Higgs was definitely a great achievement, but "completing" the standard model of particle physics doesn't really change anything about either of the theories of relativity. And as much as I love light (I'm an electrician so you know I love me some good electromagnetism) it would be difficult to name another particle that gives less of a **** about the Higgs Field xD I'd wager that all your knowledge from the past still applies perfectly fine to the modern understanding of Physics :)

I like “Theoretical Physics” more..

For those who know “just enough” 🤣🤣🤣

It’s interesting to observe advances in certain fields, then watch for the “education” to catch up.

For instance, My ACTUAL field is psychology... I have about 4years of specific schooling for that. (EMPHASIS on Research Psych/Abnormal Psych/Psycholinguistics) So I collect textbooks of the like..

I have a ‘Mental Subnormality” text from the 1930’s that classifies Homosexuality as a disorder! Bonkers how much we try to teach about things we know so little about.... but you’d NEVER know (hindsight). Fascinating stuff.. this evolution/adaptation.

🤓

This was hilarious (made me 🤦🏽‍♂️ Myself), and needed special credit!

I view a Haiku much as I do a Koan. For a brief moment time itself stands still. It is one of those rare instances when feeling leads to understanding, IMO.

A traditional Japanese haiku is a three-line poem with seventeen syllables, written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. Often focusing on images from nature, haiku emphasizes simplicity, intensity, and directness of expression.
As the form has evolved, many of its regular traits—including its famous syllabic pattern—have been routinely broken. However, the philosophy of haiku has been preserved: the focus on a brief moment in time; a use of provocative, colorful images; an ability to be read in one breath; and a sense of sudden enlightenment.

I'm into the theoretical stuff much more too, if you can't tell by the pic :p 1 session down, 2 more to go20210620_174349.jpg
It's impossible to get a photo without part of it looking askew xD

Interesting. I’ve never given poetry much thought because of all the waffle, but that does make haiku more appealing. I like the idea of having to be as efficient as possible in order to get something across. Ponder on this, I will.

Write the man a love poem!
(Mention the cat!) 😉
I've been trying to come up with a Haiku for Studly Rob...but after a few days I've come to realized that no amount of words in this earth can adequately describe my infatuation for him....and his feline.
