Win a Haiku contest, judged by my studly cousin Rob, win a pot!

The full quote;
"So you were born to feel ‘nice’? Instead of doings things and experiencing them?
Don’t you see the plants, the birds, the ants and spiders and bees going about their individual tasks, putting the world in order, as best they can?
And you’re not willing to do your job as a human being?
Why aren’t you running to do what your nature demands?"
Marcus Aurelius

There once was a young man called ned
who had eyes in the back of his head,
when asked where he’s going
he had no way of knowing,
but “I know where I’ve been to”, he said. 😘

Thank you. I remember that moment very well. Afternoon sunlight filtered by trees and falling on flesh. The contour of the body next to me like a landscape of hillocks and valleys. The breath slowly altering the landscape to return again...... Yin & Yang. (Long sigh..............)
& this is a prose poem, very beautiful!

It seems folks are having so much fun with this that I believe we may a similarly themed thread in the Tea House.
I never appreciated haiku before, but this is fun!
I'll wait the week out, though. Let's get folks a shot at that awesome pot before we just cause distractions.

I don’t like haiku

They make little or no sense

I like limericks
This, too!

badass quote. about personal responsibility and development, part of a greater system. from a waitress
to an office assistant, opportunity to advance personally and professionally with any honest job and good attitude.

that quote also fits into my notion of respecting someone who works full time at dunkin donuts or walmart, happily,
to provide for themselves, their families, and economy/society. i respect people who work those jobs far far more than
those who sit around and bitch from within this country.

@HorseloverFat i really like how that pot you made is shaped; perhaps a flowering tree of some sort would suit it well...
from side profile it looks like a standard shaped pot, but there more to meet the eye from higher perspective.

Thank you!!
As my soul breathes a good chunk of my “concept ideas”... the ones that are bouncing around my visualization “walls” and also within notes, are quite abstract and unusual...

But as a POTTER.. I need to make those distinctions look contrived... DELIBERATE... because “straight, clean, and EVEN” is (In my opinion) the pinnacle of technical skillset to be sought after(for slab throwers). So, to me, demonstrating that you are capable of that WITHIN the designs is important... for it means that, between those straight, clean, evens... I can express gruesome curves, and delightful visual contrasts, WITHOUT bordering into... well.. “kindergarten clay day”...

Trying to remain INTENTIONAL.

To me it simultaneously calls out courage and self reflection. It makes the points that laziness is NOT natural, and also that we need to routinely reconsider how we as individuals define it.
