So, @HorseloverFat's haiku contest went over so well, that I thought it might be fun to have a place for that sort of thing. For those who aren't inclined toward haiku, go ahead with the poetry, song lyrics, limericks, etc., etc. Whatever. Have fun.

This thread has had me laughing more than any prior thread ever has. I know there are plenty of people who are sitting there with golf balls up there nether regions and are rolling their eyes. But you know, sometimes you just have to laugh at a fart if that is what life hands you. This whole thing was as well regulated as it could be with an open and pure heart.
The Lover of Fat Horses has gifted us these moments which have surpassed the the most sage of Bonsai advice. Thank you my friend. I hope our paths will cross in real life, real time someday.
BTW, your little woodshed and ruins are fabulous. It really could be your forte in the bonsai realm. Don't give it up .... ever, and you will be renowned.

Ah man! I forgot about the judging part. A worthy winner, congrats @penumbra and thank you @HorseloverFat for hosting a bit of fun.

I kind of feel a bit fraudulent because of the tongue in cheek nature of my most of my entries, but thank you studly Rob, for your ringing endorsement.

These small structures are charming, but even at that size postage to the UK will likely cost more than the other two prizes combined so don’t feel like you have to provide me with a prize, though I very much do appreciate the gesture.

@TinyArt I think I have actually only made 2 or so cakes in my life, but I went through a (15 year) stage of smoking you’re uhhh wacky tobaccy so brownies became quite a forte of mine. Not at all my recipe, but the best brownies you will ever eat are these https://www.nigella.com/recipes/brownies (happily, there is a tab which switches the recipe between metric and imperial/American). You can keep em clean as is or add whatever to the mix (yes,the wackies). I used to love to add Rolos because they would sink slightly as they cook so you end up with a gooey centre and a slightly chewy caramel bottom. Delish.

Now that's funny, because I thought you'd make killer banana bread!
When cooler weather rolls around, I'll have to try Nigella's brownies, for sure -- and also make banana bread. (The secret of which is: defend the bananas against anyone who wants to eat them...or throw them away...before the skins are black. Essence of banana, with very little mashing required. And broken-up walnuts, vs. chopped too fine. Mmmmm....) 😀
