Why have I never heard this before?

I can't believe people grow citrus in pots, especially in zone 6!
How would you grow citrus in zone six? Not everyone can afford a heated greenhouse for in-ground citrus growing. And most citrus cannot take frost, let alone -20C

I grow them outside in summer and they stay in a sunny window in the house in winter. Citrus grow well in pots and bloom and fruit readily, though they are susceptible to scale and aphids. This isn't something shocking. Seemingly every Asian restaurant and business in Chicago has a fruiting kumquat or Meyer lemon in their window.
