The big first day tomorrow! I'll be there at 3:30 in the afternoon. Wondering if we wanted to make a separate thread ala "ABS Denver 2023 at the Denver Botanic Gardens" to document, post pics, share schedules etc?

Well I didn't get to meet anybody from the forum but it was a beautiful day at the gardens as usual!

Had a great time participating in the New Talent Contest yeaterday!

What a great event. There were 16 of us. The material was field grown shimpaku. Made some new friends too!

Can’t beat taking the day off work to do bonsai for 8 hours straight

I ended up taking Third Place in the New Talent Competition

I also attended a Colorado Blue Spruce workshop with Todd Schlafer. It was wonderful! We set the structure during the workshop and then I took the tree home and detail wired. I still have some more detail wiring to do, but I love how the tree is coming along!

@Colorado TJ! Congrats on placing third in the contest! I had a blast participating. The whole weekend was an amazing experience, great vendors, fantastic workshop material & good people. I have a bit of a "hangover" from it all.
