What's your favorite movie?

I vaguely remember watching Karate Kid 3 when it came out on video. I thought it sucked. Saw it again last year. Having gotten more "into" bonsai before seeing it the second time, I found it almost unwatchable. The bonsai stuff was so bad. I rolled my eyes so many times, like I usually do when watching something about earthquakes or legal cases.

In my entire adult life, I have never had a movie keep my heart racing for two hours, except for Aliens. Most suspenseful movie ever.
The thing about Aliens is that it is unflawed in script and production. Usually you can watch a move more than once when you start finding people with wrist watches that shouldn't have them, plot turns that are out of no where and go nowhere'; things like that.

I watch for continuity errors all the time. I love finding those.

Hardly get much tv or movies in anymore and I have not seen it for years.Crossroads, that guitar movie with Ralph Machio and Steve Vai from the late 80's
I forgot all about that movie.

I forgot all about that movie.
I have found no flaws of that sort in this movie. Even so far as to analyze a lot of the scenes that were unimportant, or events within those scenes that would be easy to float by that do no fit.

There are so many great films being made now (some of them even American!) that it is difficult to single one out.Seems unfair, somehow,to the others. But:
The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.Several British actors of the old(and best) school.
Any movie with Ellen Miran in a lead role, even Red and Red 2. There is another one of hers, concerning two French restauranteurs which is way beyond good.
This topic is just too big! Makes my head spin. How dare you do that to me!

Pirates of the Caribbean
The Man from Snowy River
Fight Club
8 seconds
John Wayne and The Cowboys
Boyz in the Hood

Can't name a favorite, can't even name a top ten. In no particular order and with big omissions---Sunset Boulevard, Night of the Hunter, Lord of the Rings series, No Country for Old Men, rebooted James Bond, The Wrestler, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, anything with Jack Black (especially School of rock and Bernie) and about three hundred more.

Alien was way better than AlienS! Just saying... AlienS was the 1986 sequel with all the marines and the little girl who is fighting off aliens right and left with Weaver, they live but the aliens make easy work of a whole troop of futuristic marines? BS.

Alien was a Scifi/ any kind of movie CLASSIC.

For me, it doesn't get any Better than Stanley Kubrick's stuff.

Clockwork Orange, Dr. Strangelove... All the way up to the crapfest Eyes Wide Shut which was probably screwed up by the Studio after he died in the middle of it...

Rocky - the original.
A River Runs Through It
Hoosiers
Forest Gump
Pulp Fiction
Goodfellas

Comedies:
Caddyshack
Dumb and Dumber
Old School

An Inconvenient Truth and War Room

best comedies I ever saw
