Thanks Judy...contacted site to ensure its insured prior to purchase. If so, then will proceed with purchase. Just to not limit to all unglazed in the few I pick up. But...unglazed does appeal to me.I like your blue pot you posted for this tree, if you don't go round. Blue is a very good color for Gingko, as the fall colors really set it off well.
Thanks for the virtual. I am not that good...I did a sad photos in notes thing. The blue pot I am considering...since blue is a chosen color with ginkgo. As you and others have said.I thought a nice soft matte blue pot would be cool...right now with the lush green color and especially in autumn with leaf color. It provides a brightness to the whole composition. The pot is not quite that bright...but close...very mellow matte glaze. I used my blue pot as example with your tree.View attachment 202335

Thanks...it will be a contender. I do like the shade of blue. Not in your face...bold. Which is why the unglazed appeals to me.Really nice soft formal presentation...impressive. Exciting in autumn.
Orange lines? What orange lines?Just playing around for a minute.....
I wouldn’t make those orange mark cuts...I’d leave it as is for awhile.

Beautiful pot Frank...I am looking for no smaller than a 12"... I am going to add pots from 12-15". For development of branching to continue. (Per Scott Lee's suggestion. The man I purchased this tree from.) But I do admire a Sarah Rayner any day! That is simply stunningly! Here is a suggestion! This is a Sarah Rayner pot 11 inch round 4 inch deep. Just an idea.View attachment 202340
Thanks...yeah, nothing to worry about on those orange cut marks suggested. No intention of doing that. But thanks for saying so. Also thanks for the virt. Much better than mine for sure.Just playing around for a minute.....

Wowser! What photo editing system do you use!?! You definitely made the tree look fitting in the pot. Might I use this photo when showing off my tree in years to come?Orange lines? What orange lines?
As you might guess, I like this pairing. And in autumn it will really shine.

Of course! Just a little late night Photoshopping silliness. All ready for Kokufu Ten!Wowser! What photo editing system do you use!?! You definitely made the tree look fitting in the pot. Might I use this photo when showing off my tree in years to come?
Yeah it’s like a purple-ish burgundy, little more purple in person. Not bad I thought! Just a $20 pot I found at a place half an hour from here. It’s dimensions were about right.@JoeR I see a burgundy pot...So a deep red. Which would look STUNNING with yellow! I actually prefer it than the blue I think. But my benches are burgundy.
I wonder if blue is a little overused, but what other color could you do?
I think your fall color will be stunning in it. I especially love it's not an over done color.Yeah it’s like a purple-ish burgundy, little more purple in person. Not bad I thought! Just a $20 pot I found at a place half an hour from here. It’s dimensions were about right.

Dark Unglazed, almost a deep red brown is what I am drawn to. Not found the right size yet. But...it's the one that I am so smitten with when looking into images as Adair stated to do.Silver grey, Dark Unglazed, Deep red almost brown, or even Cream white...
