I am beginning to plan out my propagation and bonsai operation for the year and I would like to hear from the community as to kind of species or bonsai material you all would like to see more readily available?

I will for sure be taking more japanese maple cuttings to sell and will be creating japanese maple and trident maple kabudachi starters (a la the bjorn clump) to sell eventually.

What other types of species or styles of bonsai would you all like to see available in the future?

Golden larch, Japanese red pine, various native species. Where are you located, I am in Asheville.

+1 for Japanese Red Pine. Like JBP, bonsai practices are pretty well understood. Additionally, it's a fast enough growing tree to develop good bonsai in a reasonable amount of time.

I would love to see Cedrus brevifolia, atlantica, and libani as well as Mountain hemlock more widely available, but they grow so slowly that I don't think they make as much sense for propogation since you can't turn them around as fast (or unless you are willing to invest for future generations).

I'm located between Greensboro and Durham, NC

I can't grow larch here, but I definitely have plans to grow acer rubrum and American hornbeam!

Also love Japanese red pine. that one is one I definitely want to grow as well, but I need to find a good source for seed.

I’d like to see more of the broadleaf evergreen species used in Japan. Eleagnus sp. in particular. Also Chinese quince.
There are some good sources for these 2 species right now, but I definitely and planning to provide some as shohin bonsai in the near future.

I am in S.E. Oklahoma, Zone 8A. Chinese Privets Ligustrum Sinense are invasive here. I have collected over 50 in my yard. They are great to practice and work on. I have some I believe will make good bonsai someday.
I would like to see more Chinese Privets.

Now that I know your location golden larch probably would not do well out there in the flatlands as they max out at zone 7b whereas you look to be 8a/b. My daughter just bought 10 acres a little south of Greensboro and will be building a house there this spring. She used to live in Mebane and it gets hot out there in the summer, usually at least 10-15 degrees hotter than up here in the mountains where I grow both American and Japanese larch.

I live very close to Mebane!

Japanese White Pine(ungrafted), Japanese Red Pine, Ilex Serrata, Juniperus Rigida. I'd love to see these as they are so hard to come by in the US.

FYI per your post above, Sheffields has Japanese Red pine seeds up as a new arrival. I have some in the fridge for this season.

Love ilex serrate and rigida. I would love to find source materal to propagate off of.

I tried Sheffields JRP a few years ago and they were all JBP seeds instead. Hopefully you get a better batch than what i had

Pauls scarlet Hawthorn, smaller leaved crabapples, smaller leaved and disease resistant cherry, dogwood

Oh yeah, Japanese Beech and any other beech, and basically any white trunked tree like birch. Who doesn't love a good white trunk bonsai specimen...
