I tried during frozen moon but the funeral fog blocked my view and killed all my trees lol the music is good but only on that album and the band themselves is a whole other issue lol
Im partial to this album and Deathcrush. There is better second wave Norwegian BM out there.I tried during frozen moon but the funeral fog blocked my view and killed all my trees lol the music is good but only on that album and the band themselves is a whole other issue lol
I haven’t seen many Bunjin ginkgo but decided to do mine this way to keep the tree with minimal pruning. That should keep these very slow growing trees in good growth because ginkgo grows so slowly.
maybe it's matter of the photo but I like your first idea better...Started changing the design on a tree I found last year's that was being sold as a pine. I'm not fully sure but I think is some kind of Mediterranean juniper.

I worked it into this, the trunk is extremely stiff.

But it wasn't convincing so I decided to change the angle

I set a cascading branch and tried to give the top a round shape, but it's hard to create density since branches have nearly no foliage inside.
I think I might try some approach grafting with discarded branches to better populate the top, and jin the current one.
I agree with the others. 1st style was more convincing.Started changing the design on a tree I found last year's that was being sold as a pine. I'm not fully sure but I think is some kind of Mediterranean juniper.

Looks fantastic growboxes indeed! I made them always from the cheapest wood but now I prefer pond baskets.Hi all, first time poster. I'm just getting into bonsai for the first time.
I ordered two 3yo Japanese Black Pines online to start with.
Then I got interested in Japanese Maples. I now have five. I've also started some air layers on a Dawn Redwood tree and a Cherry tree, and I plan to do an Elm tree in couple weeks.
All but one of my trees are in nursery pots, and I've been spending the last week figuring out training pots and soil. I elected to make some cedar training pots, and today I've been working on those. I might char them for added protection against the elements. Might also look nice. They're going to weather to a grey color anyway.
I wasn't really sure what sizes to shoot for, so I made a variety. These are two of the medium sized ones. The one on the left has inner dimensions 12" x 8" x 2-3/8". I know for "show" pots the general rule is to shoot for a pot that's the same height as the trunk width, but I thought for training pots I might go with a bit deeper pot.

My thoughts exactly.

Is there a specific reason you didn't want to pull it out and do a full repot? Did you apply that product in the bag to the tree?I agree with the others. 1st style was more convincing.
