Just finished the most Ill-fated and potentially disastrous repotting of my short career. The stakes are low (long story) but after what I just put myself through I will be a bit bummed should it not end well. The best part about making mistakes is that, success or failure, I feel like I learned a great deal either way :)

(Please ignore the bag of miracle gro. Seriously a very long story)

Started stratification of larch seeds… not sure there is a future here as I’m trying to move them couple of hardiness zones but if you don’t try you’ll never know…

Very nice Ouroboros.... This symbol has followed me my whole life...it's study and pursuit is amongst my greatest and most rewarding.

I use it to mark my pots, too.

This one is a double-crown-style ouroboros stamp I made. (Out of local clay... It only has about two "presses" left in her.IMG_20230111_214849.jpgIMG_20230111_215117.jpg

Then I move on to the Brontosaurus Ouroboros!IMG_20230111_215245.jpg

Bought a shohin barberry from someone in Fresno, CA. Bit of a temp difference between there and Maine, so I made a tiny cold frame for it.

Right on the sill of the only single-pane basement window I haven't replaced yet. A good 14 degrees warmer than the outside air temp.

Next year it will be fine resting under leaves and snow like everything else I have.

Very cool. I have one on my arm; my first tattoo. Love to see a fellow Ouroboros appreciater! Those pots are impressive, would love to get into ceramics some day.

Pic require of course, today I'm watching Hellboy (2004)PXL_20230114_215615288.jpg

Nice... ALL of my tattoos are basement style.

(Today, I...).. tried to have my youngest son take a picture of BOTH my forearm tattoos (for a conversation on an internet thread). And THESE pictures were the result!

The photography was good....

The idea (my contribution)... Was stupid and awkward. 🤦🏽‍♂️IMG_20230114_161216.jpgIMG_20230114_161154.jpg

Oh yes, THANK YOU, for your kind words about my work.

I like-a-da-clay.

(P.s. also been noting the best results on Carombola germination that I've ever experienced.. here are a couple)

(They were simply moved here for the sake of the photograph ;) )

I like them! My Ouroboros is... basically a basement tattoo that was done in a shop 😅 very cheap and done only a month or so after my 18th. I still revere it though. I love yours! What do those symbols mean to you?

I built another 70 feet of dock poles and structure, still got a good ways to go to get to the water, the reason I'm calling it bonsai related is cuz there's tons of interesting plants, including bald cypress all over this swamp, I've got my eye of a few to collect at the end of February.dock 2.jpgdock 1.jpg

I made two grow boxes. Only 3 or more to go! Yes, I know what your going to say, they are overkill in every way. Wayyy too much work, and ugly... But like my mom always said " If a hobby is worth doing, then it's worth making it not fun anymore!" Cheers!

Wouldn’t that technically be called a Brontosauroboro? 🤔 🤣

I made this, Kotohime maples on petrified wood.

This is awesome. The petrified wood really reminds me of the striations (?) We have in our mountains out here. Can't believe I've never seen a composition with petrified wood before... @LittleDingus are you seeing this?
