picked up this japanese red pine at bonsai club last night, was planted in 2017 and i was particularly drawn to this one since it is starting to have the bark develop. little bit of wire bite, but it's not bad.

Myrtus Communis nursery stock from Hirt’s gardens on Etsy (highly recommended). Hirts even threw in a complimentary heat pack. This plant arrived in great condition in 10° weather!!! I removed about 50% of the foliage and some branches to get this pre bonsai started on its journey to becoming a true bonsai. A little straight so repotted it slanted emulating the shakkan style. Now I will nurse it through the shock and essentially leave it be until spring time comes.

I think I like the beetle pot better than the frog.I inquired about the stag beetle pot. Now I know who was in line in front of me.
Didn’t see the snail and dandelion seeds on the back until this got it. Really great little pot!

I had to have one!
And I just started letting my 4 and 6 year old try out the NES - they are the best at Kirby. Button coordination is hard for kids that have only ever touched tablets!
