would the "off" season not work out cheaper,nursery stock usually goes up in Spring when demand is picking up..

This is true but we have only just received a plant order(had to chop back a 2.5 meter tall E. gunnii, it was only supposed to be a meter tall), we normally make one in Autumn and another in or just before spring. But there is no harm in compiling a list and asking them. Think I will do that.
