I am now living somewhere I can go ahead and put a tree outside.

Will a Juniper survive outside in the hot Florida sun? Do I put it out in the sun in the morning and then move it to a shady location towards the afternoon?

Since it's a house, I can put it anywhere outside.

Absolutely!
There are people in Florida that grow junipers as bonsai. Some species/varieties may be better than others though so Ill let someone who is actually in Florida answer that.
