Welcome visitors to the garden

These are from last month when my peaches were ripe. I set up a camera to see who was eating the fallen ones. It was the neighborhood fox!

Once I saw it was the fox, I purposely left a few on the ground for it to eat. After a few days, the fox grew!

I have some cool videos of them both eating the peaches too. The fox was surprising efficient at stripping out the pit!

It’s a nice kitty. I just wish it would use the litter box I put out for it. 😁

Do you carry a 45 caliber pistol with you just to take the garbage out?

I do believe in coexisting with wildlife, but a small human is in the ideal prey range for a large cougar. Or do you simply not take the garbage out after sundown?

They are just part of the landscape here. We live with them.

Lived in the bay area my entire life, so has my father (who is an avid birdwatcher/ nature guy) and had never heard of anyone seeing anything like this.

We both spend significant amount of time in nature, so when I walked out with coffee early one sunday morning I was shocked. Still dont even really know what this is 🤣🤣A12BD0D2-BB90-4D62-9D96-2A994243F9C8.jpeg6436A9C7-857B-4742-B44E-B762C59FEBF7.jpeg
