TV shows & movies with bonsai in them?

It’s been a while since I watched an episode but I am pretty sure the The Man In The High Castle has some.

Nice! Looks like it’s based on PKD’s (one of my FAVORITE authors) Novel of the same name.... it’s a very captivating pretense.

"Alright treesmiths, you'll have 5 years at your personal bonsai studio to create a root over rock trident maple."
Talk about a show with some long seasons!

Edit: just watch out for those catastrophic tree failures.....like 3 branches from a single node or primary branches crossing the trunk line.
...and remember, it's not what the tree does to the pruning shears, it's what the pruning shears do to the tree.

If I remember correctly, "Below Deck" had a bonsai tree in a therapists office that was crushed by a patient. Last episode of season 2 maybe?

Here in the UK, a recent television adaptation (Sky TV UK) of Aldous Huxley's "Brave New World" has bonsai on their sets - they appear in most of the the managerial characters' offices. This is 'Bernard Marx' with a bonsai in his office:

Just tonight I watched Tenacious D in The Pick of Destiny and there's a bonsai tree at the very end when they are back in their apartment!

"Silent Witness" series, BBC. In a typical interior room of an English manor house of 20,000 sq ft. Unidentifiable, but looks like a Jade trunk on a side table where a plant wouldn't get any light at all. As always, nice staging by someone who doesn't own a living plant, but admires them as useful fixtures. Never have I seen one in front of a window, the dead give-away every time.

Second for Dune early scene has great Dai Bonsai in front of big window in scene🤗.

Yep, in the palace on Caladan before the Attreides leave for Arrakis. I noticed that too. Really nice tree.
