Tourbillion

tourbillion

I just called Uncle "The Donald" (not duck) and told him I needed tourbillion for a tree. I really have no idea how much that is? He told me this was part of the Wall start up fund. So if Pesos, considerably south of 500.00.

Pretty nice find Al. Happy styling with it for you. :)
I know you live in a toaster oven like I do and I must keep mine in full shade or it's all over for it. I hope yours does well.

What a beefcake! Any idea what the process was to grow it? I'm wondering if it was container grown the entire time and placed into larger pots over the years.

Thanks for commenting. This piece along with all that Ed brought home are field grown for their entire life. This piece was just dug from the field last Nov. I will not be doing any work this season except maybe cut back the two long sacrifice branches as from now on it will be trained as bonsai. No pruning or wire applied this year though. I have pictures of all the trees and am processing them now since I took my camera but in my damn excitement forgot to take it out of the truck.

The pines are are very special too. Post pics later.

I had it narrowed down to two trees. This was the other one I was also interested in. I just felt this one was too far along with the shari and the slanting style. It is nice but I think I can make a better tree with the one I chose.

Those sacrifice branches would air layer in a few months...

Well the good news is he contracted me to style it. I get to work on it anyways. He also bought one for himself that he wants me to style and wire.
Very cool. You should post up all three.
