Anyone have any knowledge on standard measurements for a display tokonoma. I've been looking at numerous books with pictures but no idea of depth, length, height.

When you say standard...that is a lot to digest and no clear cut answer.
First, you need to define what kind of Toko no Ma (床の間) you want to build.
Do you want a Hon Katte Toko no Ma or a Gyaku Katte Toko no Ma (本勝手床の間))(逆勝手床の間)?
Secondly, there are many varieties of Toko no Ma. Do you want a Kekkomi Toko ( 蹴込み床) or a Fumikomi Toko (踏み込み床)? There are also Nuri Mawashi Toko (塗り回し床), Fukuro Toko (袋床), Tsuri Toko (釣り床), Oki Toko (置き床) etc.
After you decide those things then you can decide size. But the typical sizes are Ichima (
一間), Ichima Han (一間半), and Nima (ニ間).

I guess the best advice I have read is written in the Gaddou Kyouhon on pages 93 and 94. It reads, "小品(または貴風)盆栽床飾りの場合は掛け軸を用いる関係上二間では使いにくく,一間ないし一間半のほうが飾りやすいといえる。"

English...my translation. For Shohin or Kifu sized bonsai, displaying with a related scroll would be difficult to display with a Nima sized toko, but an Ichima or Ichimahan sized Toko no ma is easiest to display.

Lot of difficult concepts, but we can go over in more detail later.
