Toko-Kazari next weekend

Hideko Metaxis was the interpreter for Isao Omachi at the MABS Festival last month, she was very good at making sure all understood what was going on. There was a moment while Omachi was telling us about his father and Sinji helping him with different aspects of his winning the Prime Ministers award for his Kokufu Ten entry, when she started to cry, everyone felt and understood the story as well as if we all spoke Japanese.

Al et. al. you guys out there Rock when it comes to bonsai. Wish I could have gone.

She did a great job. I was mightily impressed with Omachi and his assistant as well(who I saw just did his own demo in Europe). I hope to see them here again sometime.

I agree Takishi, was fun to watch, did you get the feeling he understood more english than he let on.

If I remember correctly he was going to do some work in Italy.

They did some nice work though, thier demo trees turned out very nice.

The top three in order, Jim Gremel's atlas cedar cascade, Hideko Metaxis' Gingko, and Ted Matson's foemina group.
