Here is another of my Mame Forest Bonsai. This one has five tiny trident maple trees. Hope you enjoy. Let me know what you think?

Its nice but a mame Bonsai would be 10 cm - 3.97 inches or less...

I think it is amazing you can keep 5 trees alive in that small pot. I like it.

However. Forest rules are hard to break.

All the trunks are very close in size. The shortest (right) seems thickest.
And the equidistant spacing takes interest away from the composition IMO.

Looks great , especially with the shallow container. You might consider a shallow and longer rectangle container. They seem to work great with this situation.

In mame and shohin those rules are bendable. It's more about the shilouette and overal composition, because it's harder to have detail like with bigger trees.
Although I do agree on that the head tree should be the thickest.

Oh for Pete's sake! Despite what you read NO one measures bonsai sizes like that. It's only writers of books and fussy managers of shows who have forced that kind of measurement onto unsuspecting Westerners.

Sizes are set by the FEELING of smallness, and this one feels and looks small.

I only wish the trunks were of slightly different sizes.

I like this a lot! And I love the pot! Great job. :)

If you want to thicken one or two of the trees just let them run for a bit. Even if you don't, I think this little guy would be a joy in anyone's garden.

Well you sure do seem to have an eye and touch with these minis! Thanks for sharing the tree.
