I really like the root on rock look planted on a slab. Did you collect the tree with the rock that the roots cling too? I would guess no but it looks very natural.

Collected in 2004 off of shore rocks on a trip with the Ogre-its natural deportment was windswept (really, ice swept/smashed) at some point planted it over the boulder and grew it in a low box--I thin it frequently and have wired many of the small branches.

I liked it because i like it, thouh if i may, i also think the tree gets a bit lost.
If you could find a way to get a bit more focus on the tree it could improve.
It may also be the lighting on the picture though, anywayz i do like it.
