The Tree Thread

You are right, of course, in general. In this case, though, the main cuts were done 4 years ago, and the large guy wire was put there more than a year ago. So this time it was just structural wiring and maybe 10% green removed.
Also, I am in the zone 6b/7a and winters are not harsh here, so I am certain that nothing will happen to it.

Nice tree. I have several American hornbeams. Great trees to work with. You've got a good one to work with for sure.

Sorry, you are correct. Here is 2 years on one of my Carpinus Carolinianas. Great trees.
