Seems viral. You can show more posts per page if you want:

Go to user CP, General Settings, and about halfway down, a drop-down for "Number of Posts to Show Per Page"...can be set to max of 40...less clicking.

Collected wisteria, 35+ years old, close to 4 feet in height. Slowly working into a slant/cascade style.

Woof!! That's a big wisteria!

Back hurts just looking at it...would take more than my "worker bees" to move that one around...

Wow, cool bees! What kind are they?

The tree itself is very light. The wood is not very dense at all, and I would say that it probably weighs less than 25 pounds. The pot on the other hand, along with the richer soil (especially when wet) is a back breaker :(

Here's a 3-tree amur maple group that I've been working on since last year (sorry, not a great picture but I had to post something to respond  I wish I could say that I have designed and styled it to get it to where it is today, but the truth is that I combined the three trees from a 2-tree and 3-tree group that a friend had been working on for over a decade using seedlings. Wish I had half that talent.

Maybe paper wasps? They're always scraping away at whatever wood they can find...park benches, Itoigawa Jin, etc. Pretty docile, and they do a great job enhancing the Jin!

I think they are carpenter bees, not bumblebees. Bumblebees don't bore into wood.

Yeah, those are carpenter bees, they are very obnoxious, but have no stingers. I usually go on the warpath around this time each year, and bat them over (or into) the fence with a flip flop...fairly gratifying, but they're everywhere right now.

nice kotobukis...we need to talk...
