It'd be nice to join in as well. Does anybody know if Prunus Cerasus can be used as a bonsai species? It has a marvellous bark and leaves can get quite small even on a large tree. Don't see much of them in the community though.

Thank you very much for your suggestion!We're already through three of five years. Chances are you won't be able to accomplish much in the remaining two years. Why not join a more recent contest? I'm just now starting an Acorn to Oak Tree contest that you're welcome to join.

I have a locally collected Alder from a BNutter that meets the entry requirements, so I may do my own version in spirit.
