I used a strong hands 3rd hand arm when welding a while ago, they hold heavy steel pieces, so a ceramic pot wouldn't be a problem for them. You could have the clamp modified to have a bolt with 2 large cushioned fender washers and hold the pot from the bottom through a drainage hole. There are a few options made for over head cameras as well that may work.

I saw a video once of someone painting intricate stuff and they had a cartoonishly large pillow they rested their hand on. I might have figured out something.

Not really art, but trying to make some promo materials for the club because right now all they have is a wall of text trifold pamphlet with a section you fill out to mail in a check to join the club
