Mine is protesting being moved indoors for winter by dropping all it's foliage. It's good to know I can safely make use of this like I've been tempted to.

Weirdly enough my BRT did not do a leafdrop protest when moving inside this year, however I cannot claim the same for his brazilian ironwood brother.
@Clicio i need some good Brazilian names for this pair, the have personality.

This is my first time having something like this happen. It was shipped to me in the mail in the middle of summer, and had to recover from that right before being moved. That's my theory on why it's reacting this way.

Mine came in today, much earlier than last year. Ficus, Dwarf Jade, Brazilian Leopard Tree, and a Harlandi Boxwood. There's one more Leopard Tree that didn't fit in the rack, but I'll probably swap it with some of the jades at the bottom. All of them are still young, I don't really have anything very developed in my collection yet.
There's also some euonymus americanus cuttings up top, but I'm just propogating those to plant in my yard next year.

Interesting that it hit 30F this morning and nothing seems effected by it. Must have been because there was a breeze all night. Certainly was not a killing frost as expected, but there was a light frost on the turf in the back yard. It will do for now, but having been a nurseryman for 50 years I really love the first good killing frost.

That's the problem with the two step which incidentally is not two steps but dozens. I've been there. Your plants will be fine but don't expect much from pepper plants this late in the season.Screwed that one up last night. No frosts so far, and they all look none the worse for wear. Might have lost blossoms on my cayenne and black Hungarian wax peppers.
Worst case if they had been damaged, I harvest my ginger and turmeric before they flower, and the peppers just take up space most of the winter.
