The 2022 Migration Begins

Brought the orchids in but I’m waiting on the others a couple more weeks. I hate spraying everything before it comes in which keeps me bug free for most of the winter. I’m gonna try a cold closet for the crape and pomegranate.
Do you think pomegranate's need a dormancy? I've kept mine inside under the lights for the winter and they do fine and even bloom. My crapes go in my unheated, detached garage.

Pomegranate is strange because it can handle much colder than tropicals but not quite as low as most dormant species go I bring mine in as well

I winter my poms as tropical. It is really my only option. If I was a zone warmer I would probably let them go dormant.

I don’t think it needs dormancy. My garage gets into the low, low twenties if I’m not careful and I’m not sure either tree would like that. Both spent last winter in the greenhouse but take up a lot of space. The crape leafed out a bit early which gave it some pretty ugly first foliage. The pomegranate flowered all winter, but thought it might like to have a rest.

Pics or it didn't happen, man! ;-)
Be careful what you ask for. This is about 85-90% of it. Still have to set up a high light area for some large plants, BRTs, Powder puff, Mahogany, Poms, and several more ficus. I sent my largest ficus and my bougies and some assorted plants to a minimally heated greenhouse.

WOW. Go big or go home!

I know. It borders on madness.
Why am am sticking new cuttings and stratifying seeds?
It is tough to just throwing away the cuttings from pruning when all you have to do is stick them into the soil. I am guilty on this as well but our temp is warmer here than your area.

Try selling them? You could make a little money to support your addiction.
I intend to but they will not be ready for awhile. And then I must use the right venue.
I have been both buying and selling for 50 years and found it is not all cut and dry.
