Repotting season. Rootball is very mature at this point. It is all fine roots, the core has been worked, all downward roots have been removed, and there is no remaining field soil. At this point I work the bottom, break the wall and comb out the edges, and gently rake the top without breaking apart the rootball. I like to keep it dense.
