Judy has had good success with these misters that adapt to pvc pipe http://www.littlegreenhouse.com/accessory/garden.shtml - I think that would be the easiest to customize and hide. Also I will add an electronic controller or controllers as needed. The whole setup is really inexpensive if you get into it.
