Stainless steel colanders experiment.

I can always water more often, no?
;)
With all of the negative comments coming out here Clicio, to me it looks like you are setting yourself up for something that could be very time consuming, and a big possibility of a wreck. You might want to revisit your thoughts with this decision my friend.

Hey Clicio,

Good to see you back here. Been a while!
Incidentally, today I brought my raintrees and jubiticaba inside and had to think of you.

Interesting revival of a very old thread!

Well, the thread is from 2018, 6 years ago.
So far all my trees in steel colanders are doing very well, one BRT that I started from seed in a challenge with @leatherback is now in the ground with the colander, I will try to take a picture tomorrow, I am pruning it every fortnight.
Fun fact; none of the colanders are rusty even some having been reused more than two or three times.
I am not being stubborn, but it's been working for me, a fact.

PS: I'm retired now so I can water as many times as needed, every day..

Let's compare sizes in the original thread. I took pictures a few weeks ago. Naturally, mine is not in the ground; It DOES need a bigger pot next year!

Looks like you found actual stainless steel colander. I know a lot of cheap "stainless" in the States is labeled Stain less Steel (notice the spacing) or Stain-less Steel. If they are being honest, it is labeled Stain Resistant Steel.

Probably just some very low nickel-steel alloy to save of cost but entice customers.

Lousy pictures from some of the plants in colanders today.
