My acer only does well because i take the correct precautions here to provide shade etc but I just love the constant color changes thru the season that the maples give. Acer Palmatums actually do fairly
poorly by me.. It gets too cold..Too varied in the transition months.
I can grow semi-decs Arids, Subs, and tropicals because of my indoor areas.

Selected for short internodes/leaf size mostly, but also any.. uniqueness noted, out of 300-400 native/naturalized/cross-poll seedlings observed.

It's been in my area for at least a decade or 2 but personally I acquired this one a year ago. I'm currently working on it to bring the very top of this tree down to create an apex that covers that whole top unlike the gap it has right now between it and the lower branches.
