Numero Dos has got me by the... well you know. If you lived a little closer I think I'd be buying me a Shimpaku. On a side note, what do you advise using for mites?

Nice results, Smoke. Are you planning on keeping these? I'd like to see how they look out once the foliage starts filling back out.

That will be the 64,000 dollar question this year.

I saw one in the corner of my yard the other day standin flat footed and smacking my dog in the nose and thumbin his nose at me with the other hand. This is going to be a dry year out west and spider mites love the dry!!!

My advice...AR 15 with armour pierceing rounds.

I have been having constant spider mite problems the last three summers in Ohio, and they have been wetter than normal summers too. I think the AR 15 may work but a flame thrower would be more efficient.

Sounds interesting. I like the growth disrupter, sounds futuristic.

I'm thinking your swap meet might be worth a drive to Fresno this year.... :D

With mites being such a resistant bunch I hear that this stuff is the new weapon:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0032JYKGG/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I'd use it in a combination with neem oil. The neem knocks off the bulk and any that aren't smothered are killed by the chemistry.

Then again, living in San Francisco means that my spider mite problems are only minimal compared to the central valley.

I use avid combined with azamax no neem needed Azamax is in a oil.

I think you should talk with Mary (forgot her last name, I think its spanish) she can set you straight. She always drops between her and her frriend about a grand.
