What cultivar is that? It’s gorgeous!
Thank you, it’s quite beautiful in it’s spring colorsOrange Dream. Grafted examples should be easy to acquire. Prefers to have a bit of sun early in spring, not too much. That seems to give a nice orange hue.......
......too much and it will go to summer color quickly.....

...goes to yellow and from this point on, it'll get sun scorch very easily with no shade....damp soil won't be able to overcome the exposure...
I’m incredibly envious of your Seigen. I’ve been looking for a nursery stock plant for a while now. If you ever decide to propagate it, I’d love to purchase or trade for a cutting or layer.
I low-key looked for one for over 25 years until @Ohmy222 found a few somewhere online in 2019 and I jumped on this one. I put it in the ground and it’s about 4’ tall and 6-7’ wide now. Next year I may try a couple air layers, but have not tried to propagate it yet.I’m incredibly envious of your Seigen. I’ve been looking for a nursery stock plant for a while now. Very true. I had a big one (no bonsai) on the balcony, full sun all year round. Regularly scorched. Sun resistant varies greatly from cultivar to cultivar....goes to yellow and from this point on, it'll get sun scorch very easily with no shade
