Satsuki Azalea Momo no Haru

I got this one a couple of weeks ago at the local botanical garden's fall plant sale. I basically just opened it up and exposed the trunk. I plan to make a shohin size out of next spring.

What do you think? The first is a pix of the flowers, second two are of what I started with, and the last is the finished product.

Still Going Strong

As of yesterday, this one was still going strong. Not sure about today, the cold probably got the remaining flowers and partially open buds.

With those small leaves it's really going to look nice.

I hope so, it has a really nice growth pattern and bulks up kinda fast, well for an azalea. I have some cuttings that I am trying to root, I send you one when shimo is ready.
