Rudd’s Pomegranates

Update. I hacked the top of the large tree off and potted it up as two large cuttings. We’ll see if they survive.

The two little emperor poms are doing well. Still tiny, but they seem healthy in the grow bed.

And I cut the twisted pom back a little harder, and threw on a wire.

One month after the last cutback the twisted pom has been growing strong. It even has fruit on the sacrificial leader.

Second cutback of the season. Hard to believe this tree was dug out of the ground with practically no roots just 5 months ago.

And I potted up the cuttings and bagged them.

Update time:

The two large cuttings I took last Summer failed to root. I should have bagged them up, but I got lazy.

The two cuttings I had potted are budding out already, so they got repots.

This is one that was in the unglazed pot before:

And the one that was in the white pot got separated into two trees:

And finally the mother stock got downpotted from the collection box to a cement mixing tub.

I know, right? Shipping was 34 bucks. I figured if they grow well I can make cuttings.
I live in south florida, 10b, and someone on here said it was going to be too humid for my pomegranate. Can anyone confirm that? I've only had it a few months but seems happy
