Finished the stand last night, and did some touch up on the tree. That back branch I’m growing out looks a little funny right now, but it’ll be nice in the future.
A couple months after showing the tree and you can see how well it continues to grow, the left side is untouched, I already started trimming back the right side.
Normally I’d let it to shoot out until Spring, but it’s probably going to be in the John Naka Memorial show in a few weeks.
It is a little larger than the current pot all around. 1” taller, 2” wider at the top. Nao made the pot to my specs when I was visiting up there, but then we added the lip on top which added to the dimensions.
I plan to rotate the front a bit and increase the angle a tiny bit. We’ll see how it turns out tomorrow.
I got the base raised up and the angle further down. Also rotated clockwise in the pot a bit. The foliage is getting out of control, late spring it will need a lot of reduction.
