I bought this quince last spring. It was a mess, 3-4 twigs were growing from the same spot on the trunk everywhere. I cleaned it up as much as I could, then clipped and wired and left the new leader growing freely to thicken whole last season. Now it has a few quite good looking branches.. . Just not at the right places...
On the first picture the second branch is going to the back and third straight to the viewer.
On the second picture the first and third branches are going to the back.
I not sure about the shoot which is growing from the base. I might keep it and create a "second trunk", like on the drawing or just layer it off to start a new tree.
I wonder what you think about it?

I’d let it grow out a bit and see what you get. I think the double trunk would set it apart from other Chinese quinces I’ve seen
