So when you say “refire” does that mean applying more glaze too, or do you simply fire it a second time with the original application of glaze?

When I refire, I grind glaze off if it's in places I didn't want it, and add glaze where it crawled off or where I otherwise needed more. Adding CMC gum can help you get an even application to stick, but it's difficult to get much build up. I wouldn't fire more than twice at top temp. After that I'd prefer to employ penumbras method and shoot it, but no guns here in UK

I did end up refiring a couple. They turned out slightly better. Its subtle but it has made a difference.
Pretty happy with them now!

This works but so does cheap dollar store spray starch. I have re-glazed a few dozen pots using the spray starch.

I haven't tried either of these approaches I tend to go with heating the pot up with a heat gun.
Would you say its easier with starch etc?

Sure its easier, especially if you have a number of pots. I will set that needing a re-glaze aside, hit them with the starch, let dry and re-glaze.
