Phasing work on my Shimpaku Juniper

quite off topic for this thread, given it's an Itoigawa, but i think Evergreen Garden Works has them.

a small question on this tree: should I keep this tree at or close to it's future potting angle until it is ready to be repot? Or leave it as is? I initially suspected that I should leave it flat, but recently saw an Eisei-en video where a juniper was angled up on blocks, and clearly styled for the new angle. Of course, Bjorn probably knows when this could be harmful to the tree.

i can see arguments for both ways. it seems that propping it up will allow the foliage to move to it's future angle, as well as expose some bare wood that could backbud (tho in this particular case, that is likely too late). I would also much rather look at this tree on my bench at it's future angle. The main argument I see against is causing drainage or root issues. It's planted in pure pumice, so perhaps this is mitigated somewhat, but it could be an issue.
