Cool!enjoyed this thread. i never had branches thicker than 1/8 thick on top of mine so i took like 5 branch cuttings and threw the tubes to compost.
my first tree so i hope to keep it alive via the cuttings.
i think this inspired me to make some final moves on a few trees today, with about 3 mos until first frost
im going to cut my bougie up i think and as you say, fertilize
Looking awesome!Filling in a bit.
Thank you sir!Looking awesome!
Lol! Yeah, it's getting somewhere!....my polished turd.A huge improvement over the hideous thing you started with. Nice job.
go for it. i noticed when composting mine (took cuttings) there were areas of tubers and roots thatd make nice root cuttingsNice progression.
Makes me want to mutilate my neglected trash ficus.
Haha! Thanks! Yeah I like how it responds to work. I should try to root some cuttings and get another one. That's really looking good! I bet it would be fun to do a trash/ginseng/mallsai/potato ficus challenge, especially considering how well ficus responds to being worked on. I have one that I reduced to one potato and am trying to obscure with aerial roots.
Thank you kindly!Wow, nice work! 100% better than where it started.
