No more tubes

enjoyed this thread. i never had branches thicker than 1/8 thick on top of mine so i took like 5 branch cuttings and threw the tubes to compost.
my first tree so i hope to keep it alive via the cuttings.

i think this inspired me to make some final moves on a few trees today, with about 3 mos until first frost

im going to cut my bougie up i think and as you say, fertilize

Cool!
Yeah.... I have a few more trees that also need some attention in the next week or 2.
Its that time of year!

If I could re-do the past, I would have chopped the tubers off a bit higher up....but I think the next repotting will allow me to lift the tree up a bit and expose some smaller surface roots.

And I need to pick a good pot for it.....

Anyone have thoughts on pots for this semi Cascade ficus?

That's really looking good! I bet it would be fun to do a trash/ginseng/mallsai/potato ficus challenge, especially considering how well ficus responds to being worked on. I have one that I reduced to one potato and am trying to obscure with aerial roots.

Haha! Thanks! Yeah I like how it responds to work. I should try to root some cuttings and get another one.
