Ok, if you removed all the old soil, I agree with the above guidance on getting it outside into partial shade.

It will need daily watering outside so it does not dry out nor remain too wet. I think in the soil you have it in, you probably wont have an issue with the latter.

Pot has holes in the bottom right?

Ain't that the truth. I get bummed out any time I click into a thread of this sort and see someone having a discouraging experience. Sadly, the answer to the question a lot of times is "find proper bonsai material".

I dont think it is the material so much as the poor advice by the mall shops and stands which sell bonsai but dont DO bonsai. They are just fronts for the chinese growers and such.

I moved her outside and am keeping a close eye on her. Fingers crossed that she perks up and continues to thrive.
