I usually stick to broadleaved trees, so I'm not used to heavy bending, using rafia etc but I figured you need to give everything a try at least once so when I saw this tree I couldn't resist.

Still a young tree, but I liked the movement of the trunk and the potential design I had in my head. Couldn't resist taking it home for that price.
Even if the bend fails, it'll still make a nice tree in a few years.

For now I did a little work on the deadwood and made the first bend by splitting the trunk, wrapping it with rafia, wiring and bringing it down as far as I could.
I'll let it recover for a year now and make the second bend further along the trunk line to bring it and foliage even closer to the trunk.
Not sure yet about the other branches yet, but if I can bring the branch close enough to the trunk I'll probably loose them all and work with just one branch.

So this won't get an update for a while, but thought I'd share anyway :)
