Mystery Pine (or JBP?)

What did nursery say🤔?
He said the only pine seedling he got were JBP. The other pines I had seen were grafted cultivars. Apparently he gets them from the same guy every year... I'm thinking it's a hybrid with jrp or something. Screenshot_20230323_230732_Chrome.jpg

Hmm. Neither has 3 needles normally. Grow and enjoy😌. If grows 2nd flush, epicormic growth on old bark, healthy needle color, buds, can all help ID but personally do not think is jbp or jrp. Wondering if could be loblolly?

Could be. I have heard that some vigorous scots pine can pop out 3 needle fascicles when young. I'm pretty sure this isn't a scots pine though. The thing is, most of the needles are in fascicles of 2. Here's what it looked like in December. Screenshot_20230325_094433_Gallery.jpg
