my survivor azalea (not satsuki)

I like the first one better as the front. I have a few that will be pot ready come spring, but what is the John G method? Nice job on the azelea by the way, it is amazing.

Oh wow, I don’t know if I have the guts to do that. I mean it obviously works, guess I have to man up for good results.

The first view branch placement seems best. The second view the nebari is more attractive. I would use the second view, as the nebari is the most difficult to fix. You can move branches around to make the second view the better ''front''

In the first image the nebari has a hole! hahahha I really don't like it too much. But at my club people said that it should be the front instead of the one I like.
 
Stick to your guns, you are the only one who gets to choose the front.

It will take time to get the branches to come around to the new front. And the apex should bend slightly forward towards the front. Which is probably why they chose the other side, but one or two seasons and it should be fixed.
