Yes. The flower buds will emerge at the tips of branches either the short or long ones. Of course we don’t want to see the flowers on the long branches, so I will prune the long branches. With the short branches, I will not prune them.I need to trim mine back too but I think the flowers are only grown on the tips so I dont want to trim it back yet...especially when I dint get any flowers last year.

The average temperature is about 45 F. With breeze, it could easily go down to 32 F !Curious to know how cold it gets there in the winter. I bring mine inside here in frosty IL.

I don’t bring any tree inside even though with tropical trees

I have a pom growing in my backyard that I'm planning to start some air-layers of in a few months. Been eagerly awaiting the right time and I was excited to stumble upon this thread. Do you have any experience starting poms by air-layering, or are all of your trees cuttings?
