Lol...In that last picture; look at all that un-utilized bonsai space next door. . . What a waste! Lol

Looks nice. I visited the Japanese House (Shofuso) in Philly and asked a caretaker how they keep their stone areas maintained. He said "DAILY cleaning"! I have a crushed stone path that turns to dirt in no time. Not to rain on your parade, just saying you now have another hobby.I just finished the slate chips this week.
Thanks, I also thought about mounting ‘outriggers’ underneath. Should have done it from the start, though. It gets so dry here and the sun is so intense that it’s almost impossible to avoid warping.@PiñonJ just a suggestion, put some 2x4 end caps on your benches. It will give it a little strength and keep your boards from twisting.

Benches look great. Cool to see the grouping after you shared the single bench in a different thread. Thanks, I also thought about mounting ‘outriggers’ underneath. Should have done it from the start, though. It gets so dry here and the sun is so intense that it’s almost impossible to avoid warping.
Put in some time in the studio and moved some trees in...View attachment 201705View attachment 201706View attachment 201707View attachment 201708

Put the finishing touches on it this morning. The sun burst pattern mimics a similar pattern in the gable of our house. Here is mine. It isn't quite finished yet but we are almost there. It is part of a larger garden in our front and side yard. Part of the mandate from the wife was that it had to look interesting and I wanted to incorporate it into my vegetable garden as well. Sun is limited on our property so I had to choose wisely. This area gets 6+ hours of full sun daily. I included pictures of the rest of the garden. The silver wash tub will be planted with annuals soon.
Deer....that is how my whole garden got started. It evolved into a project that eventually took over 75% of my front and side yard. You have been warned...A lot of nice gardens being posted. Mine is still progressing rather slowly, so everything is jammed together on the deck. A rather sorry mess right now. View attachment 204237 Plenty of deer around (I suspect my next door neighbor feeds them). I’ve placed the less palatable trees on the edges to protect the more edible ones further in.
